Gesture control car using arduino

Hello Everyone! Welcome to an another blog of My Tech Studio. Today we going to make a Gesture Controlled Car with Arm. In this project we going to control the gesture controlled car with our hand. In our previous project we have controlled this with mobile, voice, and now it is controlled by hand. It can go forward, backward, left and right and this is the gloves to control the Arm. So let’s get started.

How can I make my own arduino gesture control robot car at home?

In this project all the materials are 3d printed by myself. If anyone need the 3d parts, put your message in comment box. If you think, I will do it with cardboard or acrylic sheet, yes you can. Now let's start making. Bearing should be fixed tightly inside the rear wheel. Remaining material for this project has been arrived. Let’s start making our project using those components. Fix the second Gear model and fix it with screws. Don't tight too hard. The gear model needs to move freely and use another bold and make it tighter, so it will not remove while running project. Follow the same method for other 2 models. Now I took female DC jack. It helps to connect adapter to charge our battery. I finished all my soldering work with this PCB. It looks little complicated. Now take a look in the circuit diagram given below –

Gesture control car using mpu6050 and arduino -

You can start soldering, if you familiar with it or you can use a ready-made PCB. In Ready-made PCB you just fix the components, it's enough. I used 2 Arduino Nano and 2 NRF module. It acts as receiver board. Here I soldered 2 wires power supply is given through this wire. Connect GND with battery (-) VIN battery (+). Board will get damage if directly connected with arduino. Here we planned to use 3 lithium ion battery. It is easy to recharge by removing the battery from holder. So I planned to recharge this battery by direct 12v DC supply. To make this success I used 3s 20a BMS module by using this we can charge our battery with 12v adapter. You can skip this step, if amount is higher and guys the very important thing is circuit diagram. The connection will be little complicated. If you have already done soldering project, then you have some practice in it. If you were a beginner you can't do this soldering directly. If the connection merges, then total connection may go wrong. It won't work proper. So carefully handle this project. Assemble all the components and place it inside the gesture controlled car. Don't place the PCB directly because the aluminium present in this motor driver may leads to short circuit. So cover it with cello tape then place it inside the gesture controlled car. Take 3 lithium ion battery this is 3.7v battery 2000mah. We need to make this as 12v battery bank. Take a battery holder and connect it with each other. Place all these batteries in holder. It looks simple and ordered so it's easy to connect with our project.

Start scratching your battery as much as you can. So the soldering will sticks well in battery heat your soldering iron well and start soldering. Repeat the same process for all 6 sides of these battery. Take a small wire and connect the positive and negative side carefully. Connect the batteries in the right order if you made any wrong connection, battery may get damaged. Connect the BMS with 3 batteries by following my connection. For any doubt, please refer circuit diagram. Finally we finished our circuit diagram. Now I used cello tape in this batteries and I took 2 wires from BMS module 7v and 12v 3.7v is also there. But I have not taken, if needed you can take. Now let's check the output voltage with help of multimeter. It shows around 7.35 volt in 1st pin, and in 2nd pin I got 11.04 voltage.

Which sensor is used to make gesture controlled robot?

Place the PCB inside car with clean setup. I changed the small connection so i removed the cello tape. You don't remove the tape. Connection wire is very important. So separate the wires and make it in order. Place the bottom wire one side and top wire in other side. Fix the arm at the top of the gesture controlled car. Now take the arm holder model and fix it on top. Fix the N20 motor before fixing the arm press the motor tightly inside the 3d model arm has been fixed successfully. Before closing the top, take a screw and put heat shrink and heat it. Heat shrink is not necessary screw this at middle of the arm take rubber band and put the copper wire around it pace the rubber band inside the screw, and take the copper wire out under the arm. Put the rubber band in the screw placed at the centre of the gesture controlled car and guys finally take out the female jack wire and fix all 4 corners with screws and finally we finished our project successfully.

Now you might have a question in your mind - where is the transmitter to control this gesture controlled car? This is the transmitter to control this gesture controlled car. Fix the transmitter above the gloves. Now you also have a query - why there is 2 transmitters? One is for controlling arm and another one is for controlling car. The signal sent by these transmitter are different. If both the signal matches total project may collapsed. So both the address are different. Note down the address wile programming the arduino board. Here I used Arduino Nano, NRF module and MPU6050. Same connection for both transmitter. We are also done with our transmitter successfully. After doing everything you can switch on the gesture control car and test it out by moving your hands.
